BURGLAR-RESISTANCE CERTIFICATION

Metalnova has always placed top priority on the security of persons and places where people live and work, offering only burglar-resistant certified products that can guarantee all levels of protection and security, from Class 1 to Class 4 for every type of residential and commercial building.

This type of classification greatly simplifies the “language” of security by focusing on product quality, that can be measured based on technical standards defined by European experts.

CLASS 1: Doors that guarantee a low level of protection.
CLASS 2: Doors that guarantee a minimum level of protection, preventing home intrusions through brute force or the use of tools like screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and so on.
CLASS 3: Doors that guarantee a good level of protection, preventing intrusions by burglars using silent but destructive tools like crowbars, large screwdrivers, and so on.
CLASS 4: Doors that guarantee a high level of protection, preventing home intrusions by burglars using noisy and insistent tools like hammer and chisel, axes, electrical drills, and so on.

FIRE-RATED CERTIFICATE ACCORDING TO EI CLASSIFICATION

Metalnova has developed a series of “special” doors for special entryways that must meet regulatory standards for fire protection, like garages, boiler rooms, and so on. Products in the Grisou series are resistant to both fire and burglars.

These models are also guaranteed to incorporate Metalnova performance characteristics in terms of burglar-resistance certifications and CE markings.

CE MARKING

Current law indicates the minimum performance levels regarding thermal insulation and soundproofing for buildings, based on Italian climate zones and intended use. Besides being in compliance with burglar-resistance classifications, Metalnova doors all carry the CE marking. Unique in the entrance door market, Metalnova, depending on the type of space where the door will be mounted, proposes three different performance levels:

Basic level, compliant with standard requirements of Italian law, ideal for interiors or highly protected areas.

Competitive level, guarantees a medium level of waterproofing and air permeability. Suggested for outdoor entries exposed to air and, sporadically, to splashing water. The performance level depends on the basic features of the product:

• Waterproofing: cl. A2

Extreme level, guarantees a high level of water tightness, wind resistance, and air permeability. Suggested for exterior entrances with door exposed to driving wind and rain. The performance level depends on the basic features of the product:

• Waterproofing: cl. 5
